Hello i2eye Fan Fiction members,
If it’s been a while since you’ve visited i2eye Fan Fiction, there have been lots of changes in the last few months that you may have missed - including a new domain name (www.i2eyefanfiction.net), customized awards pages for award winners with links to those pages in both the user’s profile and mini profile, a new web design including a customized logo/banner, a new customized button set, various customized graphics, a custom Google search, etc.
In addition to making you aware of the many changes that have been happening at i2eye, we wanted to let you know that we are quickly approaching i2eye Fan Fiction’s first anniversary on August 29th. We have numerous fun events planned to celebrate this momentous occasion.
In honor of our first anniversary, the following events are planned:
- Participation Contest (Thursday, August 7th – Thursday, August 28th) – members who post on the board each day will receive points for various activities (the top non-staff poster at 11:59 PM board time (CST, GMT-6) each day will receive 100 points for the day, etc.). At the end of the contest points will be tallied and the person with the most points wins. The winner (who will be announced on the Anniversary – Friday, August 29th) will receive a special award image by their username.
- Poetry Contest (Monday, August 11th – Monday, August 18th) – Contestants must write a poem (doesn’t matter what kind – it can rhyme or not, be a haiku, ode, sonnet, etc.) but it must contain the words “i2eye Fan Fiction”, or at least “i2eye”, in it. It can be serious or funny but should present the site in a positive light. The winner of the contest will have their poem, with their username, displayed either right above or below the marquee of the board for a week.
- Trivia Contest (Wednesday, August 13th – Wednesday, August 27th) – How much do you know about i2eye Fan Fiction? Test your knowledge with i2eye’s Trivia Contest. Various trivia questions will be asked – some you may be able to answer immediately, some may require a little (or a lot of) research. Points will be given for each question depending on the level of difficulty. The person with the highest score will be crowned Trivia Champ. Winner (who will be announced on the Anniversary – Friday, August 29th) will receive a special award image by their username.
- Caption Contest (Tuesday, August 19th – Tuesday, August 26th) – contestants are challenged to come up with the best captions for the photos presented. Contestants may enter as many times as they wish. The winners of the winning captions will have their usernames and their caption appear along with the photo either right above or below the marquee of the board for one week.
- Scavenger Hunt (Thursday, August 21st - Thursday, August 28th) – a special i2eye image will be hidden on the board somewhere each day for a week. Contestants will be given a small clue to help narrow down where they may find it. Contestants must make note of where they find the image each day and at the end of the week they must PM the list of the locations and any other requested information to the i2eye account. Points will be given for various things, with possible bonus points earned. The contestant(s) with the highest score at the end will win. The winner(s) (who will be announced on the Anniversary – Friday, August 29th) will receive a special award image by their username.
- Missing Scene Writing Challenge (Friday, August 29th – Saturday, September 27th): numerous scenarios for missing scenes for both Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye and DOC will be given. Authors can write as many missing scenes as they wish but all must be written in line with the shows (no sudden declarations of love by Jack or Sue and no declarations of love before the season finale for Clint and Nancy). The scene must be written in a way that does not alter events before or after. Members will have a chance to vote for their choice for Best Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye Missing Scene and Best DOC Missing Scene.
- Word Scramble in Fun & Games forum starting on the Anniversary
- Cryptograms in Fun & Games forum starting on the Anniversary
